University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is a leading teaching and research hospital equipped with advanced medical technology and expert care. UMC is the only hospital in El Paso to be named one of America’s Top 100 Hospitals twice. UMC is the only Level I trauma center within a 270-mile radius and is the designated facility to receive the president of the United States if medical care is required while visiting the area. UMC is the first teaching hospital in Texas to fully upgrade its robotic surgery program to the state-of-the-art da Vinci 5 platform.
