North Central Health Care offers mental health, addiction, skilled nursing, developmental disability, warm water physical therapy and adult protective services for North Central Wisconsin. In Wausau, NCHC operates a 24-7 Crisis Center, Adult Behavioral Health Hospital, Youth Behavioral Health Hospital, Crisis Stabilization facilities for adults and youth, and Lakeside Recovery, a medically-monitored substance use treatment facility. NCHC also operates Outpatient Mental Health, Substance Use, and Psychiatry clinics, as well as Community Treatment programs in our three counties of service, located in Wausau, Merrill, and Antigo. Additionally, NCHC operates two award-winning skilled nursing facilities, Mount View Care Center in Wausau and Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, WI, providing short-term rehab, long-term, ventilator-dependent, and dementia care services. In Wausau, NCHC also operates an Aquatic Physical Therapy Center, providing warm water physical therapy to people of all ages who are living with challenges such as chronic pain or fibromyalgia, or who may be recovering from chronic or acute illnesses or injuries such as knee replacements, surgeries, or accidents. Our team is driven to continually assess the needs of our community and adapt services so that we can provide the quality care people need most.
