About
The Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana is Slovenia's oldest educational institution in the field of medicine. It was established in 1919 as one of the five founding members of the University of Ljubljana. In the century since its inception it has contributed to the education of thousands of medical doctors and doctors of dental medicine, who have been at the forefront of Slovenia's medical field and have been contributing to its professional and scientific development for decades. The Faculty of Medicine offers two Single-cycle Master Study Programmes - Medicine and Dental Medicine, as well as an Interdisciplinary Doctoral Degree Programme (PhD Programme) of Biomedicine. Teaching and scientific research work is carried out by departments, institutes and individual centers and laboratories within the individual faculty institutes.
